Wood Flooring Warranty

PLEASE READ OVER THE ENTIRE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ACTUAL INSTALLATION. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS WARRANTY, PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL.

THIS FLOORING MUST BE INSTALLED ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL HARDWOOD FLOORING ASSOCIATION'S GUIDELINES.

THE SOLE OBLIGATION OF THIS WARRANTY, AT EPG’S DISCRETION, IS REPAIR, REFINISH, EXCHANGE OF DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS ONLY. LABOR COSTS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY.

PRE-INSTALLATION SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

Prior to installation, the installer/owner should perform a detailed product quality inspection. Material must be inspected for quality, quantity, species, moisture and color prior to installation. If the flooring is not acceptable for any reason at the time of this inspection, please do NOT install the flooring and contact the seller immediately. EPG will exchange the material, but there will be no refund issued. Installation indicates acceptance.

LIMITED STRUCTURAL WARRANTY

EPG is proud to warrant that all of our hardwood flooring, at the time of their original manufactured condition, will be free from manufacturing defects in assembly, dimension, grading, lamination, and milling. This warranty is to the original purchaser of the goods and is not transferable.

LIMITED FINISH WARRANTY

EPG proudly warrants that all our hardwood flooring, when used under normal residential traffic conditions and with proper maintenance and care, its surface wear layer will not wear through for twenty five years, when used under light commercial traffic conditions and with proper maintenance and care, its surface wear layer will not wear through for five years.

CONDITIONS

Prior to installation, hardwood flooring must be acclimated on job-site for a minimum of 48 hours under controlled temperature, moisture and mechanical ventilation conditions, ( please refer to NHFA guidelines ). Room and sub-strata's moisture conditions must be within range before installing. Planks with visible defects must be culled and put aside. After installation, if the amount culled is over NHFA allowance, then a credit will be issued. Installed planks with obvious defects will not be indemnified. It is the sole responsibility of the installer to inspect each and every board prior to installation to determine its usability.

LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

The following listings are not covered under this warranty:

---natural characteristics like color variations, grain variations, mineral streaks, knots, saps, and others.

---scratches and damages from sands, grits and/or debris from construction, accidents, abuse, misuse, lack of or insufficient furniture leg protectors, improper protection while moving furniture or heavy objects, improper maintenance, pet claws, nails and other abrasives.

---damages as a result of acts of God or natural disasters.

---alterations or modifications of the original manufactured products, or not following NHFA installation guidelines.

---water damages from pipe leaking, broken plumbing, standing water and spillage of fluid.

---change of shading as a result of exposure to or hidden from direct or indirect sunlight.

---damages from not using recommended cleansers for UV polyurethane finished wood flooring,resulting in a damaged or dull finish.

---delamination as a result of excessive moisture in the surrounding environment and/or substrates.

Any claim for warranty must be made in writing within 30 days after it has been detected.

Door Warranty

Limited 2 year Warranty

Seller warrants that all doors manufactured and provided by Seller are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship which would render them unserviceable or unfit for ordinary, recommended use. Seller’s entire liability and exclusive remedy to Purchaser, any Third Party Purchaser, or Consumer of any doors is expressly limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the manufacturer’s sale price at Seller’s sole discretion, of any doors that are determined by Seller to be defective under the terms of this warranty. Action by Seller on any claim may be deferred at the option of Seller for a period not to exceed 1 year from the date of installation to permit conditioning of the doors to temperature and humidity conditions. Purchaser must show proof of purchase.

THE WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESSED, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Instructions For Storage, Handling, Use and Installation:

Since methods and conditions of installation and use are beyond Seller’s control, Seller’s warranty is not effective unless the doors are stored, handled, used and installed in strict accordance with the following provisions:

STORAGE

Store doors flat on a level surface in a dry, well-ventilated building. Doors must not come in contact with water. Doors should be kept at least 4 in. (102mm) off the floor and must have protective coverings under the bottom door and over the top. Covering must protect doors from dirt, water and abuse but allow for air circulation under and around the stack. Doors must not be subjected to direct sunlight. Do not subject interior doors to extremes of heat and/or humidity. Do not allow doors to come in contact with water. Prolonged exposure may cause damage.

HANDLING

Doors must always be handled with clean dry hands or while wearing clean dry gloves. Doors must be lifted and carried when being moved, not dragged across one another or any other surface.

INSTALLING

A wooden door should never be installed in a room where moisture from plaster or cement is still in evidence. The use of 3 hinges on doors of solid engineered range is advised.

Warranty Exclusions: Seller’s warranty does not cover the following:

Any condition or appearance caused by failure to follow The EP Global Company Care & Handling Instructions.

Normal wear and tear, including wear-through of the finish or deterioration for reasons other than material and workmanship of the door itself.

Incompatibility of hardware with a particular door construction

Special Provision As To Warping:

Seller’s warranty is subject to the following special provision with respect to warping: Warp shall not be considered a defect unless it exceeds 1/4 inch in the plane of the door itself. For doors 1-3/4 inch or thicker, warp shall not exceed 1/4 inch in doors 3/6 x 7/0 or smaller, nor shall it exceed 1/4 inch in doors 3/6 x 7/0 section of larger doors. For doors less than 1-3/4 inch thick, warp shall not exceed 1/4 inch in doors 3/0 x 7/0 or smaller. Warp is any distortion in the door itself and does not refer to the relationship of the door to the frame, jamb, or adjacent doors. Warp is measured by placing a straight edge on the concave face and determining the maximum distance from straight edge to the door face.

Notice Provision:

Purchaser shall notify Seller in writing promptly upon discovery of facts giving rise to any claim under this warranty, stating specifically the nature of the claim, the date of discovery of same, identifying the product involved, and providing photographic evidence of the condition of the doors. Failure to notify Seller within ninety days after discovery of facts giving rise to the claim shall fully and completely relieve Seller from any obligation under this warranty.

The manufacturer may disclaim responsibility for any defect or failure that may subsequently occur which is attributable to non-compliance either wholly or in part with the advice given in this information sheet.

Note: Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of advice given, the manufacturer cannot accept liability for loss or damage resulting from the use of this information supplied.

SPC Flooring Warranty

Manufacturing Defects

We warrant that this product is free from manufacturing defects, and will replace or repair any defective planks at no cost to you, subject to the provisions in this document.

Lifetime Exclusive Structural Warranty

We will replace or repair any defective plank that delaminates (separates due to poor bonding) at no cost to you for as long as you own your home, subject to the provisions in this document. Any obvious defects installed, are the responsibility of the person installing the floor, and would not be covered by warranty.

50-Year Residential Warranty (Wear Layer 0.5mm)

No Wear-Through Warranty. We warrant the finish will not wear through for 50 years after date of purchase. We will replace or repair worn planks at no cost to you when installed as an interior residential floor, subject to the provisions in this document. To receive replacement planks, defective material must be confirmed and reported in writing to the retailer from which flooring was purchased within the applicable warranty period.

Provisions

This Warranty is non-transferable, and applies to the original purchaser when purchased from an authorized dealer. Proof of purchase required. In all cases, we reserve the right to inspect the flooring and to remove a sample for analysis, if necessary. We also reserve the right to accept or deny any labor charges, if flooring is not installed by a professional flooring installer.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE OR DEFECTS RESULTING FROM OR IN ANY WAY ATTRIBUTABLE TO:

1. The installation or suitability for installation. All warranties regarding installation or suitability for installation are the responsibility of the installer and/or your dealer.

2. Minor shading variances, color or texture differences not represented in dealer showroom samples.

3. Obvious defects or shading issues after installation. It is the responsibility of the installer to inspect the flooring prior to installation.

4. Improper storage, handling, or acclimation of the flooring.

5. Scratching, denting, fading, or loss of gloss over time. All flooring will scratch, dent, or lose gloss over time.

6. Moisture problems such as: sub-floor moisture, plumbing leaks, wet mopping, liquid spills, flooding, and etc.

7. Damage from fire, burns, or intentional abuse.

8. Settlement or movement of the structure (sub-floor or floor joists) to which the flooring is attached.

9. Variations in color, grain, and markings that exist in the flooring when new, or that develop over time due to sunlight or other UV exposure or aging.

10. Staining from non-consumable food and drink items.

11. Damage caused by vacuum cleaner beater bar.

12. Indentations or damage caused by improper rolling loads, castor wheels, chairs or other furniture without proper floor protectors.

13. Excessive swelling and/or shrinkage or other movement, due to extreme dryness or high humidity which is outside the recommended 30% - 55% relative humidity range to be maintained for this product.

NOTES: Like all flooring, this flooring can be scratched, lose gloss over time, or fade due to exposure to direct sunlight. Please keep in mind that pets, grit, and some children’s toys can scratch your floor. Use furniture pads under heavy furniture to spread the load over a larger area; use felt or other soft protectors under chair legs; small area rugs are helpful for removing grit from shoes (both inside and outside), and protecting areas in front of sinks, stoves, and other areas that are subject to higher traffic or pivotal loads. Never push or pull heavy furniture or appliances across the floor.

This writing is the complete and exclusive statement of the Warranty, and is in lieu of all other expressed, implied, and/or statutory warranties. We assume no liability for incidental or consequential damages. The sole remedy provided herein at our discretion, is the repair, refinish, replacement, or refund for defective products. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply.
